PART ONE: ANSWERS BY JAMIE
The last piece of music you paid for (streaming doesn’t count)
I bought a vinyl of Duke Ellington and John Coltrane the album, it has a couple of really beautiful songs on it with ‘in a sentimental mood’ being my favourite. I listen to a lot of instrumental music while I read with jazz being something I’ve recently got more and more into.
Your favourite place to listen to music
In my living room on my own
A song which reminds you of your childhood
‘I Get Around’ by the Beach Boys. I have a very vivid image of me and my best friend at about 11 years old, playing on her piano smashing the keys with no idea what we were doing and singing along to the cd of the song playing. It's a really happy memory.

Your go-to karaoke song
For some reason in my head I have an image of me doing ‘American Woman’ and nailing it, I haven’t tried it out yet though. Last time I did karaoke I sang 'If You Leave Me Now' by Chicago, which went really bad.

A song which could change the world if everyone heard it
Maybe ‘Mercy Mercy Me’ by Marvin Gaye could help people change their minds about helping more with climate change, or ‘A Day In The Life Of A Tree’ by The Beach Boys, for the same reason.
A song you’d rather never hear again
Crazy Frog.
A song which reminds you of someone you don’t see anymore
Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton—an old best friend of mine and I played this song together when we are about 12 or 13, maybe a little older. Whenever I hear this song I think about learning it with him at his house
A song which gets you in the mood (for dancing)
Praise you by Fatboy Slim, it's my aim to write a song like that one day.

A song which gets you in the mood (for romancing)
Ha, mm, Mario ‘Let Me Love You’ I guess
The soundtrack to your last holiday
I went to Greece to stay at a friends house there and on the way I was listening to a lot of Moby.

A song which has changed your mind
I think hearing Massive Attack's Teardrop at a young age really opened my mind up to making music, and the sounds and atmosphere they created. I was obsessed with the beat, trying to figure out how they got it to sound like that. That song really changed how I wanted to make music from more rock and guitar based, to atmospheric, ethereal and with a more hip hop influence.

A song which makes you cry
Saltwater by Beach House, the lyrics are really sad and I listened to it a lot after a breakup—the last line ‘you couldn’t lose me, if you tried’ gets me every time.

PART TWO: ANSWERS BY NANCY
A song which makes you laugh
Ween- tried and true. I’m not sure why but every time I sing along to it, it makes me
smile and chuckle a little.

A song which gives you goosebumps
Alberto Balsam- Aphex Twin

A song which makes you feel empowered
All Is Full Of Love- Bjork. It has amazing energy.
An artist you regret never having seen live
Prince- he is a rockstar and when i read about him and his character I feel like i really missed out!

An artist you hope to see live soon
At this point anyone (lol)—but really I would love to see Jockstrap

A gig you'll never forget
James Blake at Glastonbury a few years ago. Jamie and I went with some of our friends whilst the others split off and went to see Adele. It was so amazing—it felt like I was in a hypnotic trance or like deep in meditation. We both walked away feeling pretty mind-blown.

An album you know by heart
Channel Orange - Frank Ocean

A cover which is better than the original
Tainted Love - Soft Cell

A song you first heard on a film soundtrack
Head over Heels by Tears for Fears—from watching Donnie Darko when I was like 13. The whole soundtrack is amazing, but this one really left an imprint on me when I was young, I loved singing it.

A song you love in a foreign language
Toi Et Moi- Paradis (it bangs)

An instrumental song you love
Any Colour You Like- Pink Floyd

A song which gets stuck in your head
I have a problem with getting songs stuck in my head all the time and repeating one line from them (it drives everyone insane.) Sooo it's really hard for me to pick one…

A recent musical discovery
Baby Rose, who I got into last year. Her voice is unreal, I was lucky enough to see her playing last year and it was beautiful, she blew me away.
